The California Shakespeare Theater, also known as Cal Shakes, is a wonderful experience in Orinda. Cal Shakes hosts theatrical shows, concerts, and educational events. The theater is on the edge of the Siesta Valley Recreation Area, giving it a true outdoor theater environment.

To celebrate nature, the Orinda Olive & Wildlife Festival has tons of activities that cater to supporting the local wildlife and environment. Children will love face painting and educational games, while everyone can enjoy the presentations from the Scouts of America and the live music.

Fans of live music will love the Concord Jazz Festival in Concord, not too far from Orinda. Here, professional jazz players gather to provide the best in jazz music. This festival has been running annually since 1969 and lasts for five days in August.
